National Night Out

Written by mary on July 29th, 2014

Join us   Tuesday, August 5th from 6-8 PM for National Night Out (NNO). Mitchell Avenue by the playground in Franz Park will be closed to car traffic. We will be partying in the street and park. Grab your family, friends, neighbors, drinks, a side dish to share, a chair, a game to play or whatever else will make it a fun night to enjoy in the park and meet your neighbors.

NNO is when community members have block parties and come together to promote involvement in crime prevention activities, police-community partnerships, neighborhood camaraderie and send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.

The community association will provide hot dogs, paper plates and utensils.  Everyone is encouraged to bring a dish to share and your own beverage of choice.

Don’t forget to vote before you come!

July Community Garden Work Day

Written by mary on June 30th, 2014

The Community Garden Work Day is rescheduled and will take place on Saturday, July 12th from 10am to Noon. (We will NOT have a work day on the first Saturday of July due to the holiday).

The work day is an opportunity for all gardeners to be at the garden together to discuss maintenance of the garden and get some work done. We also welcome neighbors to come visit and check out the garden during the work days, or anytime.

The Franz Park Garden is located at the corner of Manchester and McCausland. It includes 6 individually adopted and maintained beds and wild native flowers in several community garden areas.

Community Survey

Written by mary on April 21st, 2013

Greetings Franz Park Residents -

The Franz Park Community Association would like to know how to better represent and serve the Franz Park community. We invite you to take a brief survey to tell us what you would like to see the community association do. We anticipate the survey will take you about 5 minutes.

Franz Park Community Association (FPCA) is a nonprofit community association with the goal of bringing people together to keep our neighborhood safe and neighbors informed about City processes and programs. Neighborhood participation gives you a stronger, united voice in civic life and joins us in shared neighborhood projects. The Franz Park neighborhood is in the city of St. Louis generally between Dale Ave., Manchester Ave. and St. Louis City’s western border. It is one of three neighborhoods which make up St. Louis’ Dogtown area.
